‘VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR’ AWARD
Armagh City woman, Mrs Anne McArdle, scooped the Lord Mayor’s Award for volunteer of the year 2014 for her work with the Society of St Vincent de Paul.
Lord Mayor of Armagh City and District, Councillor Robert Turner said, “Anne and the other winners of the various categories are examples to us all. Volunteers are extremely important to civic society supporting community activities, creating job opportunities and promoting environmental, educational, sporting and cultural projects. Armagh is a better place for having people like Anne working in the local community.”
