SVP how we can help

What to expect

When you contact us to request help, we will take your details. Two volunteers will visit you and you can discuss your particular problems in depth with friendly people who makes no judgement on the situation. This may take up to 10 days depending on the day you requested help as our volunteers only meet once a week.

SVP will get in touch

When someone contacts us and we have a record of their details, and the information is passed onto your local branch of SVP. A volunteer may make contact with you through a private number and you can discuss your particular problems in depth. This friendly person will make no judgement on the situation.

A helping hand

Your local SVP Conference may offer one or more of the following types of help:

  • Friendship and Support
  • Help with money issues
  • Information about other services you can use
  • Advocating for you when talking to other organisations that can help
  • Negotiating with organisations you may owe money to
