Only two days until One for Ireland tries to raise €1 million for Youth Homelessness because this Friday (29th April), One for Ireland they will ask the people of Ireland to give €1 to help fight Youth Homelessness. And we need your help.
In partnership with the Irish Youth Foundation, One for Ireland have chosen eight homeless charities that will benefit from the funds we raise this Friday. Over 1,400 retailers are participating and will ask their customers to add €1 to every shopping bill. It is the first time that the major homeless charities- SVP , Focus Ireland, Simon Communities and Peter McVerry Trust have come together behind one campaign and people can also give online or by text.
One for Ireland would like to thank all these retailers, charities and partners, including PML, who donated over €50,000 worth of free advertising space around the country. Special mention must also go to Irish International, FleishmanHillard, PayPal and COS.
One for Ireland is a National day of action to address the biggest issue facing Irish society.

100% of funds raised will go directly to the partner charities. One for Ireland are a young team- all under 24- and have dedicated this year to this cause. “Our goal was to raise €1 million in 1 day. However, we might not achieve this goal; we might not even get close. But the number of homeless children in Ireland has grown from 1,500 to over 1,700 in the last three months. This is no longer about an arbitrary fundraising goal: it is about doing all we can to change this” says One for Ireland volunteers.
