A Mother’s Plea: Struggling to Keep Her Family Afloat This Christmas

"I’m reaching out for help this week because I’m truly struggling. I was rushed to A&E with pneumonia, and getting back home in the early hours after being brought by ambulance cost me more than just €60 for a taxi—it cost me the peace of knowing my two little girls would be fed. That €60 was all I had.

Between that and the €45 for my medication, all that was left for us was a pack of chicken nuggets and chips to last the entire weekend. It broke my heart. We've run out of basics like washing powder, and I'm doing everything I can to hold it together for my children, but it’s just so hard. Please, I hope you can help us."
