Most Days, I Forget to Smile
“Dear SVP,
I am so sorry to have to ask for help…
Even though I’m living on very little — I’ve eaten one full meal in the past three days — getting by is so hard right now.
I have a disability, and I’m on a long-term disability payment. But with costs going up and up, I can’t seem to make ends meet anymore.
I’m overdue on a €200 gas bill, and I’m dreading the final demand coming through the letterbox.
If there’s any help you can give with food or fuel, I’ll be so grateful.
Most days, I forget to smile. It feels impossible to live like this.”
