Location: Sean McDermott Street, Dublin

Salary range: €30,030 per annum; paid monthly

Experience: Job holder should ideally be educated to leaving certificate standard

SVP employs people to support volunteers in a variety of settings including housing, community care, shops, administration, and other specialist areas. 

The Role:

We are currently looking to recruit a Warehouse Operative to join our Order Fulfilment Centre team in Sean McDermott Street, Dublin. The post holder will have responsibility for assisting with the ongoing receipt, sorting, grading, categorising, storing, and redistribution of donated and new goods. These goods, collected for Vincent’s charity shops, may include clothing, shoes, accessories, household items, textiles, books, toys, and collectibles—often in bags weighing up to 15kg, which must be handled manually. The role requires maintaining high standards of housekeeping and strict adherence to SVP policies and procedures. Additional duties may be assigned as deemed reasonable and necessary by SVP. Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills Required

Education
• J
ob holder should ideally be educated to leaving certificate standard
Experience
• Experience of working in a similar fast paced and physically demanding warehouse environment would be an advantage.
• Experience of working in the charity sector would be an advantage.

Skills
Self-motivated, Enthusiastic, flexible and energetic person.
• The ability to work under pressure and on own initiative.
• Physically capable of managing the manual handling of volume and weight of donations received.
• Ability to maintain the highest standards of housekeeping.
• Ability to comply fully with SVP policy and procedures
• Understanding of best practice in the area of Manual Handling.
• Knowledge of high street fashions.
