The Role:
We are currently looking to recruit a Member Support Lead Administrator (Permanent Full Time – 37.5 hours per week 9am to 5.30pm) to join our National Member Support team. This role is based in SVP House, Dublin 1.
The post holder will have responsibility for delivering efficient coordination and administrative support for the National Member Support team, which includes directly supporting the National Member Support Manager, the national and regional Member Support teams and the National Membership Committee, while also offering assistance to applicants and members to enhance their overall experience with SVP.
The Member Support Lead Administrator has responsibility for co-ordination of activities as specified under the principal accountabilities section, including direct support for the National Member Support Manager, administration, communication and event management. Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills Required
Education
• Educated to a minimum of Higher Education Certificate, preferably in Administrative Support or Community Development (Level 6 of National Framework of Qualifications).
Experience
• At least 3 years’ experience providing administrative support in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
• Experience of establishing strong working relationships with colleagues and management.
• Experience of organising and co-ordinating in-person and online events
• Experience of effectively multitasking multiple activities and routine tasks
• Experience of dealing effectively with customers/service users in a dynamic environment
• Experience of operating a CRM database and MS Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Experience supporting volunteers is desirable.
Skills
• Strong interpersonal skills, remaining customer focused, both internally and externally to the organisation, including the ability to maintain a positive attitude in the face of adversity/challenging times.
• High level administrative and organisational skills and attention to detail.
• High level of initiative and can work efficiently and effectively, both independently and as part of a team.
• Good numeracy and influencing skills.
• Confident user of MS Office, CRM databases, MS Outlook, IT literate.
• Excellent telephone manner.
• A team player.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines while demonstrating excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and function well in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge
• Understanding and appreciation of the dynamics of a complex National, Membership-led, organisation and an understanding of the client’s needs both internal and external to the organisation.
• Knowledge of the Society and of its mission and values
• Knowledge of needs and issues of the poor and disadvantaged
