Treasurer Support Officer (Permanent Full Time)

Location: Galway

Salary range: €37,258.90

Experience: An accounts qualification and or relevant book keeping experience

The Role: Treasurer Support Officer - West Region

We currently have a vacancy for the role of Treasurer Support Officer to join our team based out of SVP West Regional Office . The post holder will have responsibility:

• To support local Conference Treasurers in their use of SVP’s Accounting Systems, including online banking, and to assist Conference Treasurers with related accounting, policy and procedure queries.
• To proactively work with Area Presidents and Area Treasurers to ensure that books of account are updated in a timely manner and that data quality is maintained at a high standard.
• To work collaboratively on the continuing improvement of the Accounting System and associated training material, guidelines & procedures.
• To support Conference Treasurers in the completion and submission of the Annual (Financial)
Returns within required timelines.

Candidate Requirements:  

  • Accounts qualification and/or relevant bookkeeping experience.
  • Experience using financial systems essential.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel required.
  • Good knowledge of IT required.
  • Experience in the Charity sector advantageous.
  • Experience of providing training beneficial.
  • Previous experience in a support role desirable
